DESCRIPTION:Staff from The Arc of Northern Virginia’s Special Needs Trust program will be at The Arc Maryland’s 2022 Convention & Awards Banquet. \nJoin self-advocates\, family members\, professionals\, volunteer leaders\, and partners from affiliate organizations and government agencies at The Arc Maryland’s 2022 Convention & Awards Banquet on May 17th at Turf Valley Resort! \nOur 2022 Convention theme is The Power of Family! The Arc’s biggest strength has always been in our family network. Families were the founders of The Arc over 70 years ago. The term “family” is often defined as blood relatives\, but the term encompasses so much more for us. The Arc family includes many Marylanders with disabilities who receive our direct supports\, but also includes relatives\, friends\, our partners\, and other committed citizens who\, together\, create a near-endless family unit that wraps around one another in times of both struggle and celebration. \nThis is your chance to connect with the community and learn about topics in exciting areas like Health and Lifestyle\, Life in the Community\, Advocacy\, and Family Milestones during Breakout Sessions led by subject experts from across the state. \nRegister here.
