FFFP – May 5, 2023 – May is for Mental Health

May 5, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Presented by Rebecca Kiessling, Executive Director, NAMI Northern Virginia

In our contemporary world with all its uncertainties, an understanding of the basics of mental health and mental health conditions is crucial for those seeking mental health care and support, as well as those providing that support. Finding resources and supports while fighting social stigma and creating safe spaces for those with mental illness can be a daunting task. Join Rebecca Kiessling from the National Alliance on Mental Illness as she discusses statistics, basics of common diagnoses, warning signs of mental health conditions, warning signs of suicide, trauma, how to support your mental health, how to support a loved one, and what resources are available.
