Regardless of your age, or your child’s age or disability, planning for the future is important. The Foundation of the Arc of Northern Virginia’s (The Foundation) Special Needs Trust (SNT) Program enables families to plan for the future and people with disabilities to derive the greatest possible benefit from family money, settlements, financial gifts, and other awards of money and assets, in addition to any public benefits and services to which they have entitlement. By appropriately using their SNTs, government benefits are not jeopardized. Many families and individuals with disabilities also use the SNTs for money management and budgeting purposes.
